HNY!
How time flies by so quickly it's already the middle of January and we are starting back our much awaited workshops as I was on maternity although I haven't taken the full year off only a few months I can see that my sewing workshops are very much needed as by joining Sew Much More With Jade Sewing Workshops , you can dramatically reduce your frustration and stress, build self esteem by making an creating items, completing projects getting encouragment and support from other like minded sewing enthusiastes and gain an immense amount of confidence. The invaluable sense of achievement can not be matched, so the positive mental health benefits surely outweigh going it alone and coming to a fullstop when the going gets tough.
The Purpose of my sewing workshops is to give the beginner that confidence they crave to be able to know, what to do and how to do it. It can so often be daunting to start, with not knowing how to operate a sewing machine, as a beginner may not know what goes where and to get it to work and actually sew something in a straight line. I want to remove the pressure of perfection and give way to enjoyable learning and then launch creativity and hunger to make, wear and use!
In Wolverhampton and Birmingham there may be other sewing classes, but none like ours
we are such a diverse bunch, all ages and from all walks of cultural life and backgrounds
I would like to say a sewing melting pot. If you do or don't get out much, this is a chance to socialise and meet new people, get inspired, make new connections and bond through your love of sewing.
We meet locally at community venues with access for all, even though booking is essential and keeps the order of things. We welcome all to join, this is by no means a closed off sewing group for any one specific type of people. You can be a complete novice beginner to an expert sewing for years, i'm sure you'll find your place with us.
In Wolverhampton we meet weekly in Birmingham we meet biweekly on the weekend. We even have kids classes which is aimed at our little Sew & Sews 7-15yrs.
The new added feature to our sewing workshops this is year, is our focus moments, where I will be giving tips & hints on quick alterations and 'how to' skills at the end of every 5 weeks solely focusing on one skill at a time.
We will be bring back the pop up workshops that tickle your fancy such as Crochet & Knitting and potentially a quilting workshop through out the year. Hopefully we will be able to implement our skills to a much bigger purpose of giving back to those in need by making items to help.
If you're in the westmidlands why not book onto a workshop and i'll look forward to sewing with you soon!
Jade
